Joining Town on the 20th June 2018, on an initial 3 year deal, the dutch born versatile midfielder signed for an undisclosed fee for a reported to be a modest £2.25 million.
He had an interesting start to his Huddersfield Town career, having an unwanted record of failing to win any of his first 19 starts. His first goal was a bullet header against West Ham in a game where town went on to lose 4-3. Although Bacuna has played a number of positions this season, arguably his best position is the bench. During the 19/20 season, Juninho scored 4 and assisted 2 from 13 sub appearances, in which he scored in three consecutive games off the bench against Stoke, Hull and Blackburn
