Swansea City vs Huddersfield Town

Competition: EFL Championship Matchday 5

Date: 17/10/2020

Ground: Liberty Stadium

Swansea are unbeaten against Town in each of their last 5 fixtures, with them winning 3-1 last season at the Liberty Stadium. Town have not beaten Swansea since they won 1-0 back in 2007 at the Liberty Stadium when in League One. Although, Town have not beaten Swansea in England's second tier since 1995.
Swansea currently sit 4th in the Championship on 10 points, without losing a game. They beat Millwall 2-1 last time out. In their first 4 games, Swansea have scored 5 goals, while only conceding once.
Like Town, Swansea are facing uncertain times on the transfer front. Swansea's Joe Rodon and Andre Ayew are facing heavy transfer interest from Spurs and Brighton respectively. Town look set to make at least 1, maybe as many as 3 signing before the game against Swansea. It is unlikely however that any singings Town make will be registered in time to play the Swans. Since the last time the teams met, Town only have 7 out of the 18 players in the squad at that fixture still at the club.
The game gets underway at 3pm, Saturday, 17/10/20 at the Liberty Stadium.

Town Team News:

Town look set to be without Danny Ward for the fifth game in a row, with him probably being out for the following 2 weeks as well. Christopher Schindler, Alex Pritchard and Lewis O'Brien look set to return for Town, with all three players having two full weeks on the grass following their respective injuries. Rarmani Edmonds-Green and Ryan Schofield are making positive steps on the road to recovery, although neither will be available against the Welsh side.
