Stoke City vs Huddersfield Town

Competition: EFL Championship Matchday 12

Date: 21/11/2020

Ground: Bet365 Stadiun

Two weeks after Huddersfield picked up a point against Luton, the Terriers are back in action again, this time against Stoke City. I don't particularly understand why we have just had a 2 week break considering as we will be playing 11 games in 6 weeks, but that is FIFA for you.
Town has only won once in their last seven meetings with the Potters and that win came last season at the Bet365 stadium when Juninho Bacuna fired home from close range to give Huddersfield their first win of the season and first under Danny Cowley.
Stoke currently sit 8th in the Championship on 18 points, beating early pacesetters Reading 3-0 away last time out. Last season, both teams won in the away fixture, with 8 goals being scored in the fixtures last season.
The fixture will be the first time that teams will be able to make 5 subs and name 9 on the bench since last season. Hopefully, as a result, it will mean that Town fans will get to see some of the B team get a chance in the first team, while also giving key players a rest in what will be a hectic 11 game run until the end of the year.
The game gets underway at 3pm, Saturday, 21/11/20 at the Bet365 Stadiun.

Town News:

Micah Obiero scored his first senior goal for Carlisle as they beat Aston Villa U21 3-1, in the EFL Trophy.
Huddersfield B beat Newcastle u23s 1-0 as Danny Ward set up Matty Daly who scored the winner. Adama Diakhaby, Danny Ward, Alex Vallejo and Rarmani Edmonds Green all featured in the game at the John Smith Stadium.
The U19s picked up a big result as they defeated Liverpool 1-0. Conor Falls scored the only goal of the game where he finished off a brilliant team move.
Huddersfield B was finally granted International clearance to sign French youngster Etienne Camara and now he does not need to be registered as a 'Trialist'.
Huddersfield B also beat Salford City 3-1, with Keiran Phillips scoring his 10th goal in 6 matches.
The EFL announced this week that Huddersfield and the rest of the members of the EFL will now be able to name a 20 man matchday squad and make up to 5 substitutes during a game.

Town Team News:

Alex Vallejo and Rarmani Edmonds-Green both made big strides on the road to recovery during the international break, as they both played in the B teams and now will be looking to make their way into the first-team picture.
Pipa and Alex Pritchard will not play any part in the game in Stoke due to injuries they picked up before the international break. Hopefully, they will be back for the midweek away game at Wycombe.
