Huddersfield Town vs Luton Town

Competition: EFL Championship Matchday 11

Date: 07/11/2020

Ground: John Smith Stadium

Ten games into Corberan's Spanish Revolution in West Yorkshire, Town sit brightly on 13 points after 4 wins, 1 draw and 5 losses. Even for their good start, a loss against the Hatters would cause Town to incur three straight home league defeats.
Luton 'did the double' over Town last season, as the teams faced off for the first time in 12 seasons. Town has a poor record against Luton, only winning 9 out of the 24 fixtures between the two sides, while Luton has won 12. With this being said, Town has only lost twice in their last six fixtures against Luton.
In this fixture last season, the Terriers were beaten 2-0, thanks to goals from Sonny Bradley and Harry Cornick. A result which at the time left Huddersfield 2 points above the relegation zone with three games remaining.
Josh Koroma will be wanting to keep up his red hot form, scoring 3 in his last 5, while Isaac Mbenza (2.0) now has two goal involvements in his last 174 minutes. With him previously going over 15 months without a goal involvement.
The fitness and sharpness of Lewis O'Brien will need to be assessed, after what was a mixed bag showing against Bristol City. Although, Carel Eiting has not been on the best of form either recently.
Luton currently sits 9th in the Championship after beating Rotherham last time out. They are only three points ahead of Huddersfield, while a home win would allow Town to leapfrog the Kenilworth Road outfit.
This is the final fixture before the international break.
The game gets underway at 3PM, Saturday, 07/11/2020 at the John Smith Stadium.

Town Team News:

Alex Vallejo managed 30 minutes for the B team against the Grimsby reserves this week. Although, it is not thought that he will be included as he still lacks match fitness.
Carlos Corberan confirms that Alex Pritchard has suffered an ankle injury that will put him out for three weeks, while Juninho Bacuna is back training after his illness that left him out of the Bristol City squad.
After 7 goals in 3 games, there is a chance that Kieran Phillips is included in the matchday squad, while Danny Ward is finally back in contention after his injury.
