Huddersfield Town vs Bristol City

Competition: EFL Championship Matchday 10

Date: 03/11/2020

Ground: John Smith Stadium

Town returned to West Yorkshire with 3 goals, 3 points, and a clean sheet against Millwall. A result which saw Town move back into the top half, while also having a neutral goal difference during a season for the first time since September 2017.
Bristol City on the other hand lost 3-1 at home to Norwich at the weekend. Former Town man Nakhi Wells missed a penalty as he tried to Panenka it down the middle, but missed the goal completely, much to the annoyance of his teammates.
Huddersfield has only won 2 out of their last 7 fixtures against Bristol City, losing the other 5. On the other hand, during this fixture last season, Town ran out 2-1 winners, in their 3rd game before the initial season curtailment. A brilliant finesse by Chris Willock and a Karlan Grant penalty ensured Town picked a vital 3 points in their successful quest for survival last season.
Town made 5 changes for the demolition of Millwall. Juninho Bacuna was dropped to make way for Alex Pritchard while Richard Stearman missed his first game of the season. Most likely a result of him being close to his 5 yellow card limit. Rather worryingly for Town, Alex Pritchard hobbled off injured as a result of his ankle taking a knock as a result of a challenge just before half time. Meanwhile, the man that replaced him as a sub - Juninho Bacuna recorded 2 assists while putting in his best performance of the season. It will be interesting if Corberan chooses to keep Bacuna on the bench or returns him to the starting 11.
Bristol City sit 1 point and 2 places above Town in 10th after 9 games into the season.
The game gets underway at 7PM, Tuesday, 03/11/2020 at the John Smith Stadium.

Town Team News:

Danny Ward will likely miss the Bristol City test. While Alex Vallejo will have just finished isolation, so will not likely be match fit until after the international break .
There is no news on the fitness and extent of Alex Prtichard's injury that he picked up in the 3-0 win over Millwall.
Tommy Elphick and Rarmani Edmonds-Green remain injured and are not available.
